Barmera

Cobdogla

Cobdogla is the home of the Irrigation and Steam Museum, centred on a pair of Humphrey pumps, one of which is operable, and boasts a working 3 km railway with both a diesel and a steam locomotive, a traction engine and numerous stationary engines, all in working order, maintained and operated by enthusiasts, as well as static displays on various river topics – Village Settlements, Loveday Internment Camp and Irrigation maintained by the National Trust of South Australia.

Berri

Berri, better known as Australia’s fruit bowl, has some of Australia’s best regional produce and is lined with rich riverbanks teeming with wildlife and a fascinating history. Pull over at one of Berri’s many fruit stalls like Aggies and taste-test the region’s citrus fruits, nuts and avocados. Launch your boat at the town’s fantastic boat-launching facility and get set for a day of water skiing, wake boarding, jet-skiing and fishing. Glide silently along the glassy surface of the Murray River and explore the areas bounty of rare birds and kangaroos in a canoe or a guided kayak tour.
